When a routine is selected, the energy shifts, and our media team captures their performance, presence, and personality through a live, dynamic interview led by the ID Emcee. At Nationals, masterclass programming is elevated through an immersive week of elite training led by celebrated industry faculty, offering dancers rare access to current professional educators. Each ID regional event includes a minimum of one complimentary masterclass led by a certified adjudicator with experience as a class educator. Regional masterclasses are designed to deliver focused, inspiring instruction that reinforces artistry and enhances the overall event experience.

The ID Influencer Program invites dancers to apply and become part of a hands-on, creatively driven community designed to support growth both on and off the stage. Members gain access to exclusive opportunities including content creation, brand partnerships, media moments, and real-world industry exposure. More than a title, the program is an active experience that encourages confidence, leadership, and authentic self-expression. It is a fun, supportive space where dancers connect, create, and embody ID energy while building skills for the future.

All national photogenic entries include the same benefits as regionals — including Parent Portal feedback — with winners automatically eligible for ID Influencer status and exclusive modeling and brand opportunities with leading dancewear and costume companies nationwide.

The ID Improv Competition celebrates a dancer’s most powerful instrument, their authentic self. In a world of choreography and precision, improv invites dancers to move from instinct, emotion, and artistry, rewarding presence over perfection. Through this experience, dancers are challenged to explore individuality, vulnerability, and musicality while cultivating the confidence to perform from an honest, intuitive place. The Artist of the Year award honors a senior-age division dancer who exemplifies exceptional artistry, presence, and commitment throughout the season. This mentorship experience is exclusively for senior dancers, with one gender-inclusive crown awarded at each National Finals, recognizing the artist who leads with intention, individuality, and emotional depth both on and off the stage. Artist of the Year represents the highest standard of creative expression, growth, and impact within the ID experience.

At our Teacher Lounge, we provide a large fridge stocked with beverages, a Keurig for coffee and hot chocolate, a variety of packaged snacks, and a first aid area. If any of your needs are not found in the VIP Teachers Lounge, the Event Director is positioned to assist in fulfilling requests. Supporting Teachers and Directors is woven in the fundamental principles here at ID Dance and we will make every effort on-site to help you have the most ICONIC, fun and stress-free weekend with us! For venues who restrict these lounges, studios will receive a lounge bag to supplement.

ID Dance Competition proudly awards over $500,000 in scholarships each season, providing dancers and educators access to world-class training that elevates technique, artistry, and professional readiness. Our scholarship partners include leading industry institutions such as Millennium Dance Complex LA, Broadway Dance Center, 88 Studios LA, AMDA, Peridance, NYDP, Visceral Dance Center, Eisenhower Dance Detroit, Acrobatic Arts, and more. The ID Photogenic Competition at Regionals celebrates dancers who command the camera with presence, confidence, and individuality. Beginning with the 2026 season, parents will have access to a new Parent Portal, where photogenic feedback and results are delivered directly to each dancer’s account for a streamlined experience. Photogenic winners are automatically eligible to become ID Influencers, unlocking expanded visibility within the ID community. In addition, winners receive access to exclusive modeling and brand opportunities with leading dancewear and costume companies nationwide.

At ID Events, our Stage Check-In Team supports smooth traffic flow in and out of the stage area while serving as a consistent point of contact. Positioned at the backstage entrance, this team member assists with organization and provides quick direction as needed.
